Lightweight

The Lynk System weighs < 250 g and is therefore much lighter than conventional orthoprostheses. Depending on the configuration, the weight of one module is between 45 g and 100 g.

Cost efficient

With a smart design and 3D printed products, it is a system that is comparatively cost-effective. At the same time, the simplified measurement optimises the time required.

Modular

With the same system you can always discover new activities and adapt it to individual needs. The coupling mechanism makes the system flexible to use.

For whom is the Lynk System suitable

Suitable if you have a wrist and you are looking for either a prosthetic replacement or support for gripping function.

You already have a cuff or forearm orthosis?

The macu4 Lynk modules are always compatible with a custom-made cuff if the Lynk interface has been used. We recommend that you check this with your prosthetist before purchasing.

What is a hand orthoprosthesis?

In an orthoprosthesis, components of a prosthesis are combined with components of an orthosis. An orthosis is an orthopaedic appliance for stabilising, relieving, immobilising, guiding or correcting limbs. A prosthesis is an orthopaedic device that attempts to partially or completely replace a body function.

The hand orthoprosthesis is modular. What does that mean?

The hand orthoprosthesis consists of a cuff, an adapter and various activity modules. Depending on the activity, the modules can be easily exchanged.

Who is the macu4 Lynk system suitable for?

The Lynk system can be used for people who suffer from one-sided hand limitations or a completely or partially missing hand or fingers. The system is suitable for persons from 2 years of age. In the case of very young users, we recommend clarifying together with the parents and the doctor whether the child can actually obtain the desired benefit from the aid. The Lynk system is also suitable for very young users in the basic version (without the cuff top).

Can the macu4 Lynk system be tested?

The Lynk system can be tested for a fee. Please contact the macu4 support team.

Does the forearm need a certain diameter or length to be able to wear the cuff of the hand orthoprosthesis?

The cuff may not fit properly on the forearm or may be too large if the forearm is shorter than 9cm or the circumference is larger than 35cm. In this case, please contact the macu4 support team.
